I had to say goodbye to yet another one of my kitties recently. Morris, a stray tom we took in after moving here, had been showing signs of ear mites. The blasted things have been going from cat to cat literally. So, we take him to the vet and she insists on doing bloodwork on him since he used to be a stray. Well..we get a call 20 minutes later saying he tested positive for FIV (Feline HIV). We were not given a choice. He was put to sleep.

It all happened really fast and I did some research to find that cats can continue to live long lives with FIV. So, I'm not all too happy with this vet. She was also very rude towards us when questioning on getting Morris' ashes back. Apparently she thinks the idea of people keeping the remains of their animal companions ridiculous and against her religion. Oh, did I mention she's one of THOSE religious types?

All this happened the day before I left for AWA. The con was ok...I was kinda numb the entire weekend and just really stressed. But, I will be posting pics soon (hopefully, with the photographers permission) of a private photoshoot I did as Michiru Kaioh. The photographer, Jasmina, is incredibly talented and sweet. I had fun working with her and I'm anxious to see the final photos! I will also be posting photos from the convention that I took myself. :3 I'm currently sick from all the stress most likely...so expect new photos in the coming weeks. For now, I have posted a new photo of me in Michiru taken in the hotel room at AWA.
